Prue is my dog of a lifetime and I simply adore her. She is beautiful (I may be a bit biased), intelligent and so full of character. She is a joy to train and copes with every environment I throw her in to - including being a demo puppy for a very well attended Puppy Culture Seminar when she was just 14 weeks old.
Prue started her showing career in style with a first place in puppy at North West LRC open show in June 2017, she was also awarded best Bitch Puppy whilst her brother Monty, best Dog Puppy. In October 2017 she won her first Champ show class, winning her Puppy class and being awarded Best Puppy in Breed at South Wales Kennel Association Show. Since then, Prue has been placed at almost every champ show we have attended.
Covid halted showing for a while but we were back out showing in the summer of 2021.
Prue won her first limit class, and was awarded the BCC at The National Dog Show in September 2021 under judge Becci Hodge. She also won her limit class and the BCC at the Gundog Society of Wales Champ show in Oct 2021 under judge Ginette Oulton. She then won her third CC under judge Caroline Cormack Cambell at Leeds Champ show in 2023. I feel hugely honoured and grateful to these judges who thought so highly of our girl. We are amaze with her achievements.
Prue has also competed in Rally Obedience Competitions, being awarded her RL 1Ex title, with a third placing in Level 1 at Stoneleigh Open Rally Competition. She also gained her first excellent Level 2 qualification. Prue also competed in agility (In her own particular style), she achieved lots of placings at club shows and a couple of placings at KC shows. She was awarded a 2nd in the Gundog Elementary League in the Winter Series 2018/19. Prue also competes in Hooper UK competitions and has placings in starters.
Prue has completed her Gundog Grades 1, 2 and 3 with the Gundog Club, and I hope to work her on a local shoot over the winter. She has also attended a few working tests over the summer months.
