We lost Elsie in November 2019 to a short illness. Elsie was our gentle, biddable girl, she was my best friend, I loved her, and she loved me right back. We had an amazing journey together, with many achievements, and I am lucky that she was a part of my life.
Elsie was my foundation bitch, she gave me her daughter Prue, granddaughter Sula, and now a great granddaughter. Everything we have, is because of her x
Elsie was only very lightly shown. She had numerous placings at both Open and Championship level. Else qualified for and attended Crufts in 2014, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19. She was placed reserve (4th) in a class of over 30 bitches in the BASC class in 2015.
Elsie had first placings at Champ shows, in both Post Graduate and Limit - winning her RBCC in 2017 at the Gundog Society of Wales Champ Show under Breed Judge Brian Hayward.
Midland Counties Labrador Retriever Club Champ Show - 1st in Limit 2018
'A New one to me, but what a stunning bitch! Beautifully balanced black, substantial but still retaining femininity. Posesses the correct double coat and super tail and carrying the correct weight. Long sloping shoulders, firm topline kept on the move, good depth of brisket, plenty of heart room. Stands on very sound bone and correct feet. Moved very well - another I considered highly in the challenge. She deserves to be campaigned, as in my opinion, she is worthy of her title'

Elsie proved herself to be a very biddable, trainable bitch with a willingness to please that made her a joy to work. She gained her Working Gundog Certificate, competed in Novice dog working tests and picked up on our local shoot over the winter. She was awarded her Bronze, Silver and Gold Good Citizen Dog Scheme awards and also competed in Rally Obedience Competitions. She received good placings in both Workings Tests and Rally Obedience Competitions. She achieved her Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 Titles.
Elsie acted as a stooge dog when I worked with dogs with fear aggression or other behavioural difficulties and took it all in her stride. She was one in a million and was able to turn her hand to anything required.
Elsie also passed her assessment to become a Pets as Therapy Dog (PAT dog)
Thank you to Hayley Jo Brambles of 'Shaymiloney Labradors' for entrusting this lovely girl into our care.
